Meet Your Animal and Nature Spirit Guides

Here in Seattle we are well into Spring. The cherry trees and tulips are in bloom, and songs of courting birds abound. My backyard is a very busy place with hummingbirds defending their territory, squirrel races, and lots and lots of birds using the fountain for bathing so that they look their best (see Varied Thrush for an example).

I’m getting lots of visitors at the front door as well. Yesterday I tried to open the door to get my mail and was rushed by three squirrels who felt that they were going to waste away if they did not get more nuts (they’d already had a hearty breakfast at the Wild Rose Café).

Crow Rogue and his mate Milady are putting the finishing touches on their nest in preparation for the next generation. In the meantime, Rogue has inspected HIS two birdbaths and declared them adequate for his needs for now (but he really wants something deeper to bathe in).

One of the challenges of being an animal communicator and energy healer for animals is that they know that I can hear and feel them. One day, I put some leftover chicken out for my crow family, and instead of diving on the tasty treat, Rogue hopped on past the offering and followed me down the sidewalk asking where the crispy chicken skin was (his favorite). Fortunately, I was able to find a piece, and he was happy. I should hope so, since it is my favorite part of the chicken, too! So spoiled (-:

Cat Nacho has practically become a daily fixture outside (which does not thrill my indoor cat Night Sky one bit). When I see Nacho sitting on the front porch I will often step outside and love on him, and he purrs and rolls on my feet in happiness.

Recently, I stepped outside with a tasty bit of smoked salmon to share with my other cat Manitou who was out and about. I called Manitou’s name, but he did not respond. Instead, neighbor cat Nacho came running, something I have never seen him do since he’s somewhat generous-sized. He usually moseys. He made me laugh, and yes, Nacho got the treat.

It’s exciting to experience and share in the joy of the animals, plants, and trees as they embrace Spring, and I’m looking forward to sharing those connections in upcoming home study class Bones, Stones, Feathers and Fur. Every week students meet their personal spirit guides and allies (Power Animal, Stone Person, Plant/Tree, Animal, etc.), and learn how to create positive shift with their assistance.

Each week, with the support and assistance of your power animal we will meet one or more of the other allies—Stone People, Animal People, Plant People, Earth, Water, Fire, Air (Winds)—listen to their messages and partake of their wisdom. Each class is designed to empower you on your journey even after class is completed.
