Night Sky and the Dinner Delivery
Recently, I supported local restaurant Circa and a delivery person for UberEats by ordering dinner.
I was in the kitchen when the delivery person arrived, and my first inkling (since the doorbell does not work) came from my cat Night Sky who was intent on something at the glass storm door. My entrance and address is somewhat hidden by shrubbery, so when I rounded the corner from the kitchen I discovered that the delivery person was heading away, unsure that he had the right place.
I rapped firmly on the glass door to get the driver’s attention, and Night Sky took that as a sign that all was not well. When the delivery person turned around with paper bag in hand, Night Sky assumed his biggest, baddest stance and greeted the poor man with a huge hiss, and did not back down even when the bag was gently deposited on our porch. I had to reassure Night Sky that the delivery person was bringing dinner before my protective feline would stand down. Apparently I have a 15 lb. watch cat who fancies himself part panther.
It might not be the best diet for Night Sky, but I shared a French fry with my fierce friend who was prepared to defend us all. Night Sky loved it.
