The animals who reside in zoos are Ambassadors for their species, and are inviting us to work together in a more spiritual way. At their request, this class series will have a special focus on endangered wildlife such as elephants, tigers and wolves. Utilizing basic shamanic techniques, we will meet with Zoo Animal Ambassadors that have invited us to listen to their perceptions, and join in ceremony to support wildlife worldwide.
It took me a while to write this article. The principal reason is that the experience I had with the Orcas for Whale Teachers #2 was so powerful that it took a while to process and integrate.
Meeting with the Orcas in sacred space, feeling their love for us—and the trust they displayed—blew my shamanic doors right off.
On that day everything I’ve learned about Reiki, shamanism, and animal communication was used in service to the Orcas—often all at the same time—even while taking photos!
Our time with them proved to me beyond a shadow of a doubt that connection with heart is the way to healing—and that the animals can show us the way.
During the telecall two days later I still felt like I was groping for words that could encompass the entire experience. The closest I can come so far is to say imagine watching a National Geographic documentary narrated by the Orcas while you are completely surrounded by deeply loving spiritual energy.
I was not the only one affected by what happened that day—the other whale watch passengers were as well. One little boy said, “I don’t want to go home. I don’t want to ever leave this boat.”
The official naturalist photographer for the whale watch vessel looked dazed, and said that in 15 years of doing this he had never seen anything like it. He also said he had taken more photos than ever before. I was glad to hear that since I had taken almost 1500! It took me hours to sort through them all and choose just the right ones to tell the story the Orcas wanted told.
The Orcas called to us to come—we answered—and they showed up big time to help us heal and rebuild the bridge that connects us. And they brought two baby orcas with them!
If you were not able to be on the telecall I’ve got good news—you can experience the wisdom and healing energy of the Orcas through storytelling and shamanic journey any time through the audio recording and photos.
