The Orcas Are Calling: Whale Teachers Shamanic Journey Telecall

The second of three shamanic telecalls with the Whale Teachers is coming up!

This time the focus will be on the Orcas. Technically Orcas are members of the oceanic dolphin family, but since we so often refer to them as “killer whales” the Orcas asked to be included as part of the Whale Teacher series and I never argue (well, almost never) with my guides.

The Whale Teachers series was created in response to the request of the whales to bring the people to meet with them in ceremony via telecalls and shamanic journeys. I just discovered that June is Orca Awareness Month, something I certainly did not know when the Whale Teachers suggested the date of June 29 for this telecall. Shamanic serendipity, indeed!

This year is special to the Orcas since four baby southern resident orcas have been born—three to J pod and one to L, bringing hope that the resident orcas population may rebound as they have been in decline. And the babies have some great elders to learn from. The world’s two oldest-known orcas live in J-Pod. J-2—or Granny, as she has been affectionately named—is 103 years old and the matriarch. Also within the J-Pod is an 85-year-old orca, making J-Pod home to the two oldest-known orcas on Earth!

During the call the Orcas wish to offer healing for participants and share messages through a shamanic journey that I will guide attendees on. They want to work with as many people as possible, so this is being offered as a 60-90 minute telecall available worldwide June 29 at 6:00 p.m. Pacific. The call will also be recorded in case some people can’t attend at that time.

A portion of proceeds from this call will be donated to Orca Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of the whales of the Pacific Northwest, and the important of providing them healthy and safe habitats.

Prior to the telecall I will be going to meet with the Orcas and other marine wildlife on board a commercial whale watching tour. If you want to join me on the tour out of Anacortes on June 27 you must register with the company (see information in FAQ on registration page). Island Adventures has had some amazing orca, humpbacks and other marine wildlife encounters this year as shown on their blog, including some of the new babies, which I would love to see!

The storytelling, photos, and shamanic journey from all three of our visits with the Whale Teachers are now available as a recording.
