Animals Love Reiki at Mud Bay

On October 12, I offered a Reiki demonstration for animals at Mud Bay in West Seattle.

I had a wonderful time with all the people and their dog and cat companions. The energy was flowing, and all the animals went from nervous (or highly energized in the case of two puppies) to calm and relaxed. It is hard to pick a favorite since they were all such good Reiki recipients.

Several small dogs ended up falling asleep (first trying to keep their eyes open while sitting up – always cute).

I got lots of kisses from 10 month-old Rickie, who looked like a cross between Toto and Benji.

And Charlie, a 3 month-old German Shepherd mix, had been barking and leaping and just carrying on until it was his turn. He immediately settled down with his rawhide chewie, and rolled his body until he laid his left hip right in my Reiki hand. Everyone laughed because he clearly knew where he wanted the work (-: Afterward he was a very contented puppy.

A good time was had by all. I overheard one attendee tell a store worker that she had never seen anything like what happened.

I love Reiki (-:

And I’m offering another free Reiki for animals energy healing demonstration October 26!

Relaxing, non-invasive and enjoyable, Reiki (pronounced ray-kee) is an ancient and powerful method of energy healing for all beings. This gentle healing modality offers comfort for aging issues, promotes healing from injury or illness, reduces stress and pain, and relieves emotional trauma/depression.

Not local but want to learn more about Reiki? I invite you to listen to audio What’s It All About, Reiki? as I share stories and answer questions about Reiki and the benefits it offers animals and people.
