On June 23, 2013 a young raven sat on the fence of Gertie Cleary’s Novia Scotia farm and yelled for help for an hour. He made such a fuss that the family finally went to see why and discovered that he had four porcupine quills stuck in him, three in his face and one in his wing.
Ravens are very intelligent and wary birds—an encounter like this is highly unusual. Video documents what can be accomplished when two intelligent beings (raven and human) collaborate to solve a problem. I wonder what would have happened if they had been able to offer him Reiki for pain during removal and after for recovery?
