Great animal stories on sale for July 4th weekend

I am putting the final touches on my second book, and the marketing person I hired to help me navigate today’s book market (wow, how things have changed since I published the first book in 2007!) suggested that I try to get my books into the top spot on Amazon.

One way to do that is to be very selective in the categories you choose. There was so little available in the early days, that I was surprised to discover that Tails of a Healer was not being showcased in categories that really resonated with its content and message. [If you are curious, the old categories were more focused on Energy Healing, and the new ones drill down to the niches that are more expressive of the message: 1) Biographies of Environmentalists & Naturalists, 2) Animal Care & Pet Essays, and 3) Women’s Personal Spiritual Growth.]

Long story short, with the new categories, my marketing advisor recommended offering a “deal” to help spread awareness and generate sales that could potentially push my book to the Top 10 in those categories. I would like to be clear that while I embrace abundance, my ultimate goal is to spread the messages of the animals. The more people who read/hear them the greater the opportunity for shift and change. It is the primary reason that I am attempting to learn how to swim in today’s book market.

Starting today, I am offering a 99 cents Kindle Deal on the ebook version of Tails of a Healer in hopes of laying a foundation for the launch of my second book Out of the Darkness and Other Animal Tails.
