Just the other night a guest dropped in to what I jokingly refer to as the Wild Rose Café. It was Secret Agent Squirrel, who joined me for dinner.

We sat together on either side of the door connecting—just being together. I had not seen him for a while, and he sensed that I was struggling with some things and told me, “Courage.”

When he finished the first round of nuts he let me know he would like a second helping, which was when I noticed his left ear. Apparently he had successfully fought a few battles of his own.
