| I’m not here to convince anyone who still doesn’t believe in climate change. If you won’t listen to the 97% of actively publishing scientists who agree that humans are causing global warming and climate change, I doubt you’ll listen to a gardener and medicine person who has stories to share from her backyard and the spirit world. But I invite you to read on anyway.
Because this isn’t just about belief—it’s about relationship.
My mission is to help heal the broken connection between the People and the natural world—Earth and All Our Relations (see Windwalker’s Message for the World).
While offering morning tobacco prayers, I noticed something unsettling. The garden is in full bloom—flowers, clover, abundance everywhere. But the air was quiet. Too quiet. No buzzing. No bees. No butterflies. In a sweep of the entire property, I saw only two bees. Two.
Science says insect populations are in decline. The Plant People say the same. I keep praying, but we need more than prayers. We need action.
Here are two people I recommend listening to—both knowledgeable, hopeful, and offering clear ways to engage:

It’s Not Reiki Soup
Reiki Level 1 begins June 25. I often talk about what Reiki is, but let’s talk for a moment about what Reiki isn’t.
Reiki is not healing with crystals, sound baths, angels, shamanism or other beautiful practices that have been tossed into the mix and served up as some kind of energetic soup. These practices have their place—but they are not Reiki, and they are not what I teach.
What I do teach is how to connect deeply with Reiki itself. My approach is grounded, powerful, and shaped by over 30 years of experience working with people and animals. You’ll be offered tools for your own healing and spiritual growth while also learning to extend those benefits to others.
I’m not as patient as I once was—time feels more urgent now, and I believe we’re all being called to rise to the moment. So I’ll challenge you to be the best healer—and the best version of yourself—you can be. That means showing up fully. There will be Lifework practice sessions (yes, homework), due on time. You’ll learn in a circle of community, where each student’s journey supports the whole.
Those who commit often experience profound shifts—emotionally, physically, spiritually—and a stronger bond with the animals who sense the change in them. From there, a deeper connection with nature unfolds. This is how we reclaim joy. This is how we remember who we are.
Are you ready to embrace the challenge?

The World Is in Chaos—Nature Offers the Cure
June is nearing its end, but there is still time to walk with this month’s Sacred Rhythms before July begins.
This month’s journey brings you into relationship with the teachings of the Strawberry Plant—its sweetness, its grounding, its medicine. The urban wildlife cam videos connect you with opossums, crows, raccoons, and other teachers who bring insight in unexpected ways. The reading list offers a diverse range of fiction and non-fiction, and the curated playlist evokes the mood of each month—helping you stay rooted even as the world whirls around you.
This is about more than a class. Sacred Rhythms is a living relationship with the land and seasons—a full year of guided connection. All for one price.

The Thread That Binds It All
This newsletter is woven with stories, tools, and teachings that help heal the rift between humans and animals, between mind and heart, and between spirit and action.
Whether it’s through Reiki training, a year-long journey with Sacred Rhythms, or listening to domestic and wild animals answer the howl of a human in a video clip—it’s all a reminder: you are not alone, and you have the power to create positive shift your life and the world around you.
Let’s remember how to listen. Let’s remember how to act.
Let’s walk this path together.
Hope to “see” you in Reiki Level 1 class or perhaps kicking back with All Our Relations for the Sacred Rhythms of the summer and the coming year!
With heart,
