This year I was able to attend Flute Quest with Cathy Mara, Debbie Noyes and my dog, Puma. I was looking forward to my first flute lesson, but it was not until we were walking into the tent that I realized that this might be a little hard on poor Puma.
Class started with about 18 people, and as each of us was asked to play a scale, many of us for the first time, Puma’s ears would twitch ever so slightly. He exhibited the height of manners, however, when we were asked, as a group, to play.
The shrieking cacophony would have driven most dogs out the door, or at least set them to howling. Puma bore it all stoically, and I have never loved him more for his selflessness and loyalty! To see more photos click here.
