Shamanic Classes and Ceremonies

Experience powerful shamanic Ceremonies and Rites of Passage and transform your life.

Shamanic Windows of Perception, Machu Picchu, Peru

2009/10 One Year Training: 4 Sessions
Spirited Living: A Shamanic Journey into Self-Healing

Shamanism, the world’s oldest form of healing, is founded on the belief that the universe is one in spirit—a universe in which animals, birds, stones, rivers, mountains are messengers and allies.

In this four-part class we will connect with forces of nature, deepening our relationship with the world around us. Our journey encompasses the shedding of our past and the healing of old wounds. We will learn to walk with impeccability, grace and courage, perceiving with our hearts, and visioning clearly the limitless possibilities of our future as we step into who we are. Through ancient and powerful ceremonies and Rites of Passage you will build your own mesa (healing bundle), freeing yourself and creating alliances. This is the path of connection, learning to live in grace and with Spirit.

Classes are progressive, the student will clear issues related to the roles that inform their life: personal roles, family roles, cultural roles. These issues are worked through all 4 levels for maximum benefit: energetic, mythic, symbolic, and temporal. All of this work is done in community, a source of strength as well as learning, and serves to build an ayllu (think family, but not by blood), upon which you can call for help beyond the scope of the class.

At the same time you are doing this healing work you are building a mesa. Each stone is earned through clearing; what once was a weakness or wound instead becomes a source of strength for you, and possibly for the benefit of others once you have a full mesa (12 stones). Each student will have created a complete mesa by the finish of the class.

In addition each student will also undergo Karpays (transmissions of power) including, but not limited to, Bands of Power, Kawach Rites (Rites of the Seer), and Archetype Imprinting (serpent, feline and winged one), death rites (releasing the old and stepping into your new life), etc. Journeys will also be a part of the training for healing, information and the skill to journey for self in the future. All of these are within the Andean Medicine Tradition and serve to connect one to this very ancient lineage — this is not core shamanism, but a very real and time-honored specific tradition. Techniques for personal clearing are also taught.

The overall focus of the class is a journey of powerful self-healing while at the same time building tools, connections, and practical skills for carrying you forward in your life beyond the class.

This class is based on cross-cultural shamanic practices with the central focus being the mesa tradition of the Q’ero shamans from the High Andes in Peru. Each of the four sessions is a three-day workshop, and includes ceremony and rites of passage, and personal exploration. Class takes place in a setting where animals will be present and part of the class.

In-Depth Self-Healing
"Shamanic training with Rose turned out to be a life shift for me. I went into it with a desire to connect with something familiar, and in order to help others. What I got out of it was a clearer, wiser, more humble ME. I found that connection I was looking for, but in a deeper way than I expected. I learned about myself, my woundedness, my power, my place in this amazing Earth Walk. I have a circle of women with whom I trained that support and accept me, as I do them. I am attracting people and opportunities into my life that offer me infinite ways to grow and serve, love and laugh. The training and Rose herself, are genuine, authentic, and real."—Peggy Vertrees, Enumclaw, WA

Enriching and Wonderful Experience
"In the year long study of spirited living, we did just that...lived with spirit. The work opened my eyes to other ways of seeing and experiencing the rich possibilities of life and healing. With the expert guidance of Rose I was able to peel away layers which had kept me from fully living my potential. I was given tools to use in my daily life to enrich it in very deep ways. As a group the students supported each other through healing rituals and formed a bond of trust and caring which will always be there. I cannot put into words the depth of all I learned, it was a very full and magical experience."—Barbara Vane, Port Townsend, WA
