Back in 1995, when I took my first class in Reiki I had no inkling of how it would transform my life and the benefits it would offer my own animals. If I had, I would have signed up much sooner!
Beyond the numerous benefits my animals and I have received, I am also grateful for the experiences I have had when offering Reiki. There is one in particular that can occur, especially when sharing the healing energy of Reiki with an animal—a sense of deep connection. A connection that transcends what mere words can encompass. Take a moment to look closely at the photo that accompanies this article and you’ll see what I mean.
The photo was taken at New Moon Farm Goat Rescue and Sanctuary while I was teaching an Animal ReikiShamanic class. The miniature donkey gently touched my hand with his muzzle, asking for some energy work. He could freely have moved away at any time—instead he remained for quite a while, soaking up the Reiki. And gradually we both melted into the connection. (Many thanks to photographer Annie Marie Musselman who accompanied us and captured this beautiful moment.)
I’d love to introduce you to Reiki or support you on your Reiki path. I work hard to ensure that each student receives clear guidance and personal attention for their best and highest healing good. Not local? I also offer online Reiki training.
